The media have to play a vital role in arts, education, politics, marketing, sports, entertainment and other spheres of our society and people with an informed, innovative approach to the media are increasing in demand. Media Sciences can thus be regarded as a key subject for the contemporary society, and it has been one of the fastest growing subjects of the past decade. Courses in Media Sciences aim to combine the academic study of video and television with production work courses. Video and Television are assessed separately, as media within their own rights, and as media that have interconnecting histories, genres and technologies. The importance of new media technologies on video and television is a central feature of these programs. These Courses provide practical hands-on training to new media communicators using video and television as a means of dialogue with their world. They give the students an opportunity to make creative, imaginative and intelligent work through a repertoire of inventive and analytical skills. All aspects of the programs, offered in Media Sciences; theoretical and practical, are aimed at opening the world of television and video dramas, serials, series and comedies to the prospective moviemaker.
