Honorable Chief Minister of Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Shareef inaugurated Indus International Institute at December 11, 2011 and praised the contribution of this institution towards poverty elevation via education.
The Indus Valley civilization, one of the oldest in the world, dates back at least 5,000 years. The land inhabited by this civilization is flooded by one of the largest rivers in the world, the River Indus. The Indus valley civilization had great strength at the time of its emergence through progression in the field of art, education, culture, trade and commerce. This land has been the centre of learning as it has given birth to some of the most prestigious educational institutions form Khyber to Mehran. In continuation of this success story, Indus international Institute is going to be a glowing example. The Institute is purely built to elevate the educational standard of the Area. Dera Ghazi Khan is a city located in Dera Ghazi Khan District, Punjab, Pakistan. Dera Ghazi Khan is one of the most populous cities in Southern Punjab, and it is the largest district in Punjab in terms of area, being approximately 5,306 square miles (13,740 km2) in extent. Dera Ghazi Khan city is situated on the western bank of the Indus river. It is the only city of Pakistan that is called junction of all provinces.
The Institute aims at fortifying the educational base of its students, keeping in view their future needs and infusing in them a proper sense of values, social awareness, right analytical thinking and dignified living. Media Sciences can thus be regarded as a key subject for the contemporary society, and it has been one of the fastest growing subjects of the past decade. Courses in Media Sciences aim to combine the academic study of video and television with production work courses. Video and Television are assessed separately, as media within their own rights, and as media that have interconnecting histories, genres and technologies. The importance of new media technologies on video and television is a central feature of these programs. Microbiology is a branch of Biology that includes the study of growth, characteristics and various other aspects related to the life cycle of micro organisms such as protozoa, algae, fungi, bacteria and viruses. In other words, it is the study of microscopic organisms. Micro-organisms are very small organisms which are not visible through naked eye. Sometimes they are even referred to as microbes as they are studied under microscope, being very small in appearance. Microbiology is a broad term which includes many branches like Bacteriology, Virology, Mycology, Parasitology (a part of Protozoology, as some parasites are protozoa) and others. A person who specializes in the area of Microbiology is called as Microbiologist. The task of microbiologists involves investigation of the fascinating world of micro organisms or microbes. Microbiologists explore the relationship of micro organisms with other creatures and their consequence on the life of human beings.
Environmental Science is the branch of science dealing with the study of different components of environment, the factors influencing the changes in the environment and the interdependence of living things within their environment. These include the study of climatic change; conservation of energy; biodiversity; ground water and soil contamination; technologies developed to treat air pollution, sound pollution etc. This interdisciplinary academic field combines physical and biological science context including physics, chemistry, biology, soil science, geology and geography. Wholly, environmental studies incorporate more of the social sciences for understanding human relationships, perceptions and policies towards the environment.
